Heatrecovery and electrical power generation with ORC-process in a foundry
FERCHER manages to recover this energy from the exhaust air streams of the burners in a foundry using a simple and safe process engineering solution.
If there is no direct demand for preheated fresh air during operation, this hot exhaust air can be used to generate electricity using an ORC process. This Organic Rankine Cycle process is primarily used when the available temperature gradient between the heat source and sink is too low to operate a steam-driven turbine.
