Wastewater heat recovery and wastewater cooling with a wastewater heat exchanger

Many foreign bodies in the wastewater, such as lint or items left in clothing (paper clips, pens, etc.), quickly cause a competitor's heat exchanger to become clogged and thus stop working.

A heat exchanger from our AWT or FB series is therefore ideal for a laundry.

Here you can see the principle of the "open design." We rely on large cross-sections and a design that is easily accessible even during operation.

Even at a wastewater temperature of 40°C, the entire fresh water is heated to approximately 30°C, assuming a fresh water temperature of approximately 15°C.

If there is no space in the entire facility, installation outdoors can be considered, or the heat exchanger can be securely anchored to the ceiling or wall of the hall.

Exhaust air heat recovery from ironers, finishers, dryers and mangles

The lint and ironing wax from the exhaust air are washed out of the air during this process. The condensation of steam from the laundry processes in the energy spray tunnel even creates a surplus of spray water.

If space is limited in the facility, the heat exchanger is mounted on the hall ceiling or on platforms above other machines. The design and calculation of the size of the energy spray tunnel is also carried out specifically for your facility.

With a typical laundry exhaust air temperature of 80°C to 130°C, exhaust air heat recovery heats the service water to 45°C to 75°C.

Since we usually combine the entire wastewater and exhaust air flow with these systems, we recover very large amounts of energy. Depending on the system and design, the payback period is usually just a few years.

Side effect: Lint-free laundry exhaust air, usually with even reduced noise levels.
